- Selectivity
Allowing 60 to 70 students entry each year, the hallmark of the program is the selection of a diverse academic and professional class that has in common high achievement and high potential for leadership. - Work Experience
Experience is important to the dynamic MBA learning environment. Typically 60% of each entering class has significant prior work experience. The program also has a niche group of approximately 40% high achieving students with little or no prior experience. - Diversity
The MBA Program seeks an ideal split of 70% non-business and 30% business undergraduate majors in each entering class.

Student Lockers
Students are assigned a locker during the first week of classes. Students may provide their own lock or they may purchase one in the MBA office. Students will be able to use the lockers as long as they are enrolled in classes. During the summer months all contents and the lock must be removed, unless you are enrolled in summer school.
Student Lounge
The MBA Lounge is designated for MBA students only, an ACT card swipe allows students to gain entrance into the Lounge. Students find the Lounge a great place to study, eat lunch between classes, or schedule team meetings.
Email System
As a student of the MBA Program and the University of Alabama you will have full and free access to your own email account. This form of communication will be used for official transactions involving student services, career services and class information. Therefore, students are responsible for checking their business email accounts on a frequent basis for updates and notices from staff and faculty.
Computers
The computers in the MBA lounge and anywhere else on campus are to be used for class or business purposes only. Any misuse may result in termination of privileges.
Action Card ID
Your Action Card proclaims you are a fully privileged member of the UA community. It grants you access to: Computer Lab • Facilities Access • University Libraries • Student Health Center • University Recreation • Campus Entertainment • NCAA Athletic Events • Athletic Ticket Pick-up • Voting In Campus Elections • Residence Hall Lobby areas • Official University Identification Card • Establish your University E-Mail account • Debit account access (Bama Cash, Dining Dollars)
Meeting Rooms
The MBA office cannot be used for team meetings. However, interview rooms can be used for career or team/project related phone calls but must be authorized and scheduled in advance by an MBA office staff member.
