Quality: Manderson Graduate School of Business MBA students have strong oral and written communication skills, a solid ethical foundation, a strong desire to succeed as well as to help others grow and succeed, the ability to work as a part of a team, and the ability to learn from both successes and failures. To be admitted to our program students have demonstrated academic excellence, clearly defined career goals, and strong managerial potential.

Teambuilding Skills: Beginning with orientation each student is assigned to a team, these teams work together throughout the first year on class assignments and projects. Teams provide support to their individual members and to other teams. The emphasis on individual and team learning and growth continues in the second year of the MBA program. Students learn how to capitalize on team member’s talents and strengths, allowing the team to reach its maximum potential. Each team learns to function effectively by dividing and delegating tasks, and communicating shared goals and objectives with others.

Strong Analytical Foundation: The first year core curriculum courses lay the foundation in business basics and are designed to provide students with the functional skills and tools required for any business environment. Throughout the second year MBA students are exposed to real-world management issues allowing them to analyze, research, and develop their creative problem solving skills. A strong emphasis is placed on developing the integrative and interpersonal skills necessary for problem solving, decision-making, and leadership, which prepares each student to contribute to an organization immediately upon graduation.

Communication: Effective and sound presentation skills are essential to business communication.  MBA students analyze and identify strategic solutions for case studies and present their findings through coherent and persuasive presentations. Our faculty work together to evaluate the process, content, and delivery of team presentations in a continuing effort to promote and develop our students’ communication and presentation skills.
