Joint Degree Programs

Beyond the Traditional MBA
In today's ever changing business world, the value of expertise in several disciplines is appealing. At Manderson, we understand this competitive advantage and offer a limited number of highly qualified individuals the opportunity to integrate his or her educational experience.
At the Manderson Graduate School of Business, the dual programs have been developed in response to the increasing need for CEOs and CFOs who are familiar with the priorities and pressures of a position and the ability to communicate them effectively. Completed in a short amount of time, students in our dual programs practice skills learned in the classroom through a variety of summer internships and real-life projects.
Admission
Admission to the Manderson MBA program does not guarantee admission into a specific dual program. Candidates must first be unconditionally admitted to both programs before applying for a dual program. Following admission, applications for the dual program are evaluated by a joint committee representing the faculty of both disciplines. Because of the highly competitive selection process for a dual program, interested students are encouraged to have both applications completed by the MBA priority deadline of January 5th. Joint and dual MBA Programs currently offered at The University of Alabama include:
MBA-JD (Law)
MBA-MSCE (Civil Engineering)
MBA-MSME (Mechanical Engineering)
